Wanted- Artists to Design my Tattoo
Maybe no one will be interested...But I thought- Why not ask.
I used to be able to draw really well as a teen. But cant anymore.
Im looking for Talented Sketchers to draw out my tattoo...That I want to get sometime in the future...I figure I wont be able to for about a year or more.
I want this tattoo to have a breast cancer ribbon of sorts- It does not need to be shapped like the traditional ribbon- But I want it to be recongnised as a BC ribbon.
I want that intertwined with a Heart that has a hole in the middle- A heart that is maybe delicate, Feminine, Filligree...Im not sure exactly what I want.
That is why I want a design now...So I can look at it for a long time And make sure its how I want it...And so it gives me something to look forward to. ( I like to plan things : )
If you do post a design you will be giving me permission to use it.
Thanks,
Pam

Where are you putting the tattoo? I didn't do recon and I have something similar on my mastectomy scar. It is a beautiful flower with viney leaves and a pink ribbon.
-
Im not sure on its placement yet.
But I am strongly thinking of my Back- Right side. Shoulder area. Not too high...Almost near the shoulder blade...It would show when I wear a tank top.
Do you have pictures of your Tattoo? id love to see it. it sounds very pretty.

I will have my husband take a photo and post it later. I don't know how to do it.

Dejaboo-
We can't figure out how to post like Fumi did above. If you PM me with your email address, I will send you an attachment. I like Fumi's drawing by the way.
-
Baywatcher, here's the instruction for how to get your picture posted.

Hi - The soft airbrushed section in the middle of the heart signifies the "hole" in it.
-
I would like to download my photos but my husband and I have sat here for over an hour trying and I was following timtam's directions and I can't get it to download.
-
Thanks for this thread because I have been considering a tatoo maybe on my lower arm (my good arm of course) and i was thinking I wanted my ribbon to be flowing at the bottom, kind of loose and color fading sort of. Does that make sense? Then I wanted to put something about breast cancer still kills. Very pretty and tasteful yet making the point we don't have a cure! So you wonderful artists lets see what you can do with that.
-
Baywatcher-Since you sent it to me (thanks)
I can upload it for you.
I may not get to it until tomorrow. I will have to size it smaller 1st & then can upload it.
It will be fun to see what you all come up with for LuAnn too!

Here is Baywatchers Tattoo-Its Gorgeous...I will let her add her comments about it.

All the designs shown are amazing! I like the one above because the ribbon is not the major part of the lady like design---just like bc does not define us.
-
I don't have an idea, just thought I would post my a picture of my son's tattoo. He came to visit me during rads and had it done then in my honor.
God Bless Us All

Guess photo bucket isn't going to work. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't. I have posted pics before..........I don't understand! Sorry, you will have to copy and paste to see it.
-
Laura I love your tattoo design too!
-
Goldie, unlike many other online message boards, an IMG code and an HTML code don't work here. Copy the "Direct Link" instead on your Photobucket page then hit the small green icon on the top of the message box here. Paste the Direck Link in the "Image URL" line so it should work.
Here's what you wanted to post.
LuAnn, not sure if you meant like this but here goes.
Hugs,
Fumi

I cant design anything but i am doing something with my tattoo (when I get it) making the pink ribbon into more of a journey ribbon design rather than the traditional pink ribbon. (you know like the journey diamond necklaces?)
-
Goldie - That was so sweet of your son!
Fumi - Wow...that is a great design!
-
Dejaboo-
Thanks for posting my tattoo as I wasn't able to get it to work.
Since I had decided not to do recon, the tattoo worked out good for me. I remember the first time I saw it, I was brought to tears. It changed the ugly, mutilated look of my chest into a beautiful work of art. I will be glad to get the other side done this year.
My advise on tattoos: Make sure that your artist is exceptional and highly skilled because the tattoo is for keeps. I've seen some really bad tattoos and I'm glad that I don't have one.

Fumi, that is beautiful but not quite what I had in mind, I imagined the ribbon to be more flowing but I like how it gets darker at the bottom and I like the roses, not sure what else to go with it
-
All your designs are wonderful. I do think it does somewhat depend on where you are going to put it. I've been thinking of putting one on that area on my back that peeks out from my jeans, shorts and pants from wearing all those shirts I need to keep pulling down. LauraGTO your design won my heart(pun intended) for the winner for my back almost buttocks area. Should I make the plunge, I will be hoping to use something very similiar. Thanks!
-
Thanks!
Bay - Your tattoo is really pretty. Ouchy, wow, wow...did it hurt? I am such a chicken sh**! How long did it take?
-
Laura-
It didn't hurt. I had no feeling. My scar is numb. I could watch Kat (my artist) do it.It stung a little on my not numb area. It took about 3-4 hours for her to complete it.
~Baywatcher
-
Kat Von D?
-
No, not Kat Von D.
-
Thanks Timtam, much appreciated. You drawing is very beautiful. As well as the rest of the tats and drawings.
Laura - I am like you, chicken sh**! I have my bellybutton peirced and that's about it for me!

Love the 2nd Design too Fumi.
Any new Ideas/Designs?
